Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a technique used in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) that stimulates specific points on the body, most often by inserting thin needles through the skin. The insertion of the needles encourages the flow of energy (Qi, or Chi) through the body allowing it to find equilibrium and to achieve balance.

Acupuncture needles are very thin, so insertion usually causes little discomfort and might not even be noticed. Some feel tingling, warmth, heaviness or extreme relaxation. Between five and 20 needles are used in a typical treatment. The needles are disposable and never re-used.

Working With The Body
Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) is an independent approach to medicine developed over thousands of years. With TCM the practitioner works to correct imbalance within the individual that have caused physical or mental issues. Through acupuncture, Qi Gong, herbs and nutritional counseling, we work with the body to kick start its natural abilities to repair and heal itself. There is a substantially reduced risk of side effects as compared to other pharmaceutical or medical treatments.
