This past December Free Spirit Acupuncture and Wellness welcomed its newest acupuncture practitioner, Shunwei Wang.
Originally from Fujian Province, in southeastern, coastal China, earned a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Fujian University. Before coming to Free Spirit, he had been managing his own acupuncture practice for the past ten years across the state in Philadelphia. He now lives just down the Ohio River in Bellvue and commutes to Beaver everyday to help people manage their pain through the ancient art of acupuncture. Specializing in chronic conditions, Wang is skilled at helping people managing common ailments like lower back pain.
Wang was brought in to help fill the void left by the departure of Yuhe (Brian) Zhao, MD, L.Ac, DOM, who moved to Florida, and Dylan Loverich, L.Ac, who is now in Denver.
For people who may be tentative about trying acupuncture, Wang points out how it has been a proven pain remedy for over 3000 years now. He also wants people to know that the needles used in acupuncture are so fine that most patients can’t even feel them.
So far Wang says he is really enjoying working with Shawn and the rest of the staff in Beaver. “The town is really nice, beautiful,” he says. “The people are really nice, too.”
